The past few months have been hell. Between Gen Con, the kid starting school, my period coming 10 days early and all three of us in the house taking turns being sick with one thing or another, I haven’t had a second to breathe, let alone write.

Luckily, things are starting to calm down and I can give you all my opinion of a vibrator I got from Babeland, the Orchid G.

One of my last reviews was of another g-spot vibe, and I was, well, less than impressed to put it nicely.

That is absolutely NOT the case with the Babeland Orchid G. HOLY CRAP. This toy packs a punch in the right spots! My number one requirement for a great g-spot vibe is pretty simple: vibrations in the tip. You know, the part that actually contacts your g-spot. Sounds pretty logical, but I could be wrong. This baby definitely delivers. With a tip that’s more than strong enough to keep you vibrating after you’ve stopped using it, it is angled in such a way that it’s easy to use a clit vibrator as well (and I certainly tried that, to completion ^_^)

Of course, this toy is not for the faint of heart. It is a rather powerful vibe. In fact, I’d say it’s probably the most powerful ones I own at this moment. 

Here’s my breakdown:

Pros:

• Very powerful tip
• Multiple color choices
• Water Resistant
• Hard Plastic Material

Cons:

• Not very discrete

Unlike my last g-spot toy review, this one is pretty straight-forward. It is very effective at getting you off, especially if you add in a clit vibe such as a bullet, while using it. The bulbous tip can be a bit off-putting to beginners, but the slender shaft makes it not so intimidating. It’s hard plastic, so it’s easy to clean, and glides very well with or without lube. It takes two AA batteries. Mine is pink It also comes in blue.

If you want a powerful, effective g-spot vibe, the Babeland Orchid G is DEFINITELY one you want to check out, and it’s easy on the pocketbook too!

So, one of my fellow models asked via her FB, what a good cam site was to work for. She hasn’t cammed for a while, and was wanting some advice. She stated that she didn’t want to work on MFC anymore (and I can’t say I blame her there at all), and that she was looking to make some extra money.

One of her friends, and myself, endorsed Streamate. A few other people mentioned whitelabel¹ sites OF Streamate, and one vote was tossed in for OnHerCams.

Then, one of her friends said not to do Streamate because they only pay 20%. I mentioned something along the lines of “Who cares if you only make 20%, if you are making bank per hour still?” I also mentioned that if I recall correctly, you ALSO make 15% for LIFE for any referrals, and that it should help compensate you that % that you might be accustomed to getting on, say, MFC (if anyone but the top out of 800+ models actually made any worthwhile money on there). She then likened it to cyber prostitution. This is where I sighed. I pointed out that I have no issues with prostitution; not only do they set their own hours and wage, they are independent. What’s not to love about that?

I then broke down exactly how that 20% ends up being 20%.

• Cam Girl Cut: 20-35%
• + Affiliate Cut: 15%
• + Credit Card Processing Cut: 12-15% + 5% that you get back 6 months later IF you don’t have a chargeback².

• Site Cut: 30-45%

That is then further broken down into server costs, chargeback costs (that aren’t covered by the 5% rollover), staff costs etc.

In the end, a cam site with an affiliate program, makes roughly 15%-20%. The owner of the site MIGHT make 3%, if his or her contract is REALLY good haha.

After you break it down, it’s a VERY marginal percent that ends up making it to the people who run the sites 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Answering our most intricate or tedious questions.

She stated that she did in fact make a lot of money on Streamates… >_> SO WHERE IS THE GODDAMN PROBLEM?! I don’t get it. If your choices are 1) Work on a cam site that you make 50% on, but never get any shows or tips, or 2) Work on a cam site that you make 20% (+15% affiliate referral for the life of the user you refer), but average $50-100 per hour, why is there ANY question at all?

Unless the site is a shitty or shady site, FUCKING GO FOR THE ONE THAT MAKES YOU MONEY!

NO! You aren’t a “digital prostitute” as she tried to state, you are a goddamn smart business woman. It’s the difference between choosing a minimum wage job at McDonalds and a waitressing job at a very busy restaurant: You work the same hours, except on the latter, you make 2-3x as much a night. Sure, it might be a little more work, as you are actually doing something instead of standing there, bored out of your goddamn mind, but it’s worth it.

I got my first toy from Babeland a few weeks ago and unfortunately, mother nature visited me the same week, so I wasn’t able to really give this toy a fair shake. Now that I can, I can easily say that the Berman Venus G looks like it could be a pretty awesome G-Spot vibrator. It’s too bad that I was a little let down. I was expecting this really stimulating toy, but it just wasn’t anywhere NEAR strong enough for me.

I will say, however, that for beginners (or those that really aren’t into super strong vibrations) this toy would be a fantastic pick! It’s a very lightweight toy, it takes AAAs and is, of course, made of very safe materials. The ribbed shaft really helps with the stimulation at the vaginal entrance and its girth is on the lesser side, making it ideal for those who have problems with medium or larger toys. Unfortunately, it just isn’t enough to make this toy one that I would use on a regular basis.

From what I could figure out, by playing with it (not inside me) is that for some reason, the vibration mechanism is rather far down on the shaft. Also, it doesn’t conduct the vibrations very well to the tip of the toy at all. I want a helluva kick from my g-spot toys. The Berman Venus G just didn’t deliver this for me.

There were a few things that irked me, and probably would others as well. One was that in order to put the battery cap back on, it had to be put on in a VERY specific way. It’s really difficult to notice the first few times, and you just end up frustrated, thinking you had broken it the second you put your batteries in it. Another was that without a strong vibrating tip, it was nearly impossible for me to figure out if I had the silly thing pointed in the right direction. A nubbin on the end of the battery cap, or something, would have saved me a lot of hassle of having to pull it back out, straighten it, and put it back in.

So, let’s recap:

Pros:

• Varying speed based on the amount you turn the dial on the end of the battery cap
• Made of easy to clean silicone
• Latex free / Phthalates free / Hypo-allergenic
• Slender shaft is great for beginners

Cons:

• Not a very strong vibrating mechanism
• Hard to tell if it’s pointed the right direction
• The battery cap is a total pain in the ass to get right the first time

Overall, I would definitely recommend the Berman Venus G to all of my friends that are into more slender toys, or just want a little vibration in their lives. Unfortunately, for those of us who like some kickback from our g-spot vibes, it just doesn’t make the cut. Luckily, the toy is only $24, so even if you purchase it and it’s not quite up to what you want, it’s not like it’s going to break the bank.
