Telling people they HAVE to buy insurance is more communist than telling them they don't have to. But, once you add in the kickbacks you get for having insurance, along with the tax rebates, etc for premiums there's no reason NOT to have it, provided you can afford it and aren't in the percentage of people below 150% poverty level.
